That's exactly what my proposed category is, it's not just a simple "All Staff Ghosts" run. It's also not repeating any karts, as you can see in the video :P

Apologies for adding more a day later, but I can also point out that exactly half of these staff ghosts actually are still beaten using the matching combo.

My opinion is that being forced to use a different kart each track is better, rather than repeating some of them 3 times, which is why I chose to run it this way. I did of course consider matching the staff ghost, but there are other racing games that do have runs exactly like this one. The inspiration came from a top F-Zero GX runner, and I know Kirby Air Ride has a category without staff ghosts which forces a new ride to be used.

If you have version 1.1 which was only released in the US, Destiny unlocks after beating level 5 in any episode. On version 1.0 it just isn't accessible from the cantina at all (what a brilliantly tested game), so you have to play through Episode 6.

The most likely way for this to happen is to record a run of this yourself. However there is still no guarantee that it will be added - this will be down to the individual game's moderators, rather than the overall series mods. Regardless, as a rule of thumb, if you want a game or a category to be added, you should do a run of it yourself first.

What I will say is that while there may not be glitch free categories, the games that have categories with major glitches (mostly level skips) will often have categories which ban the use of the major glitches.

It certainly caught me off guard, I don't know if I've even had any Wii U game crash before! And yeah I suppose Mossrock 2 doesn't make any difference since the level is so repetitive, so if it's a consistent crash it could happen in any Mossrock visit.

Edit: Oh, Mossrock 2 is just an All Flags thing isn't it? I'm just following the All Flags route at the moment but I'll definitely start with Any% runs.

I've been learning this game offline in the past couple weeks, and I was going through Mossrock 2 today when I encountered a crash and I was wondering if this was something that's been experienced before. Rather embarassingly, it came when I missed my hammer on the yellow shy guy and got into a fight, and when I fled from the fight the ptooie ran right into me and the game crashed. If that's the cause of the crash then it's probably avoidable, but I'm curious if this has been experienced before and if it's a random thing or not.

In general, RetroArch is not a good option for emulating DS games, load times disregarded.

To add to what's already been said, basically whenever you want to cancel an animation and character swapping is available, that's what you should do.

Hi there, I just have a quick and hopefully simple question. I'm very interested in trying out this speedrun, and I've watched the recent developments go wild. However, I don't have a NES that I can play this on. I bought the game on Wii VC but I noticed that NES is the only available console option (and I'd rather not play on emulator). If I did runs on the Wii, which is the same game as on the NES, would my runs be accepted?

You know, if you want it actually on the leaderboards, some say you could use the submit feature...

It would also be a little bit difficult, and as you can see I haven't figured out a way to remove Free Play from ship levels too. I may decide to add an in-game time column later for this level specifically.

Wasn't too awful. Only problem now is that Free Play is a category for the vehicle levels and I can't seem to change that.
