Just leads me to believe that such a wide gap in time is probably just a case of an actual good run being done.
If you're not in the discord for the game, go there if you want to actually be clued into what is going on.
Long story short, IGT is unreliable. It's been a long time coming really. Too many things cost time RTA, but cost nothing IGT.
Simply put once you can toggle IGT and RTA off and that causes drastic leaderboard positions, you have a problem.

The dazzle sucks big time. When it would BSoD my PC, I had no idea why. When it worked, I had no idea why.
I would just throw it in the trash. Especially since it has frame loss. You lose like 1 second of video every 10 minutes.

well, you don't need splits to speedrun. so you can just run a timer on your phone for reference, or on your pc, or use a stopwatch.
I have a backup computer that's old af. Used to have an dual core intel processor. I dropped a 10 dollar quad core into it (and a 15 dollar amd 7750 into it for good measure). Only has 2GB of ddr3 1066mhz and can stream emulators without the frame rate dropping below 60fps. before it couldn't even play emulators, now it can stream them without an issue. It just needs a bump to 4GB or more and it will be the perfect backup for console and emu speedrunning.
Now can it stream newer pc games? Most likely not. But based off the runs you've done before, that won't be a problem.
They're all pretty well documented on wikipedia. Most of them are garbage tho, and if they're obscure enough not to be on wikipedia, then so what? Those are probably even worse.

Yeah I wasn't talking rejecting a run for being too good, just pointing out that it's not that simple. Sometimes you have to make the decision to reject a run because you suspect it very well could be cheated.
Otherwise on games that are easy to cheat, the verification process should just be removed entirely.

Some games are simple enough to where faking them is stupid easy. Where the only difference between TAS and RTA is how skilled you are.
So how do you catch the fakes? Get it now?
