this part is fairly easy but screwing up can lead to major time losses. avoided getting stuck in combat. I skipped the entire minefield area luckily without side missteps because of the stiff PS2 controls. I intentionally attacked the guard heading for the alarm or else an unskipable cutscene triggers. beating the mini boss was the only challenge here.
