I haven't been active in this community since late Winter/early Spring of 2018, so a lot of you might not even know who I am, but since early 2017 I've been a moderator of this game (as well as some other Speed Run titles) on speedrun.com. I was the original creator of the SR4 community Discord, which I'm sure is still in use since I left last year.
As of today, I'll be removing myself as a moderator of all ROBLOX games that I've been active in on speedrun.com, and saying a thankful goodbye to the community for ROBLOX speedrunning as a whole.
I had a lot of fun with this game and others in the time I was involved in them, and I'm glad to see my contributions and infrastructure work have not gone to waste.
See y'all. <3
This has been a problem for this game since its initial popularity on srcom. For quite some time, I was the only person verifying runs, and the queue would get very long if I was gone for even a few days. Since I've gone inactive as a mod for SR4, new mods have been appointed, but I agree with Vywa on what seems to be the result.
This game has a 16 level category because for a long time it had a long loading point in between levels 16 and 17.
To coolestto, and any others wondering - yes, this is because the continual splitting of categories would became messy and hard to manage. Additionally, the game has changed so much as of recently, and the mod team has agreed that a wipe and reset is the best plan of action moving forward. The run times have been fully archived in an Imgur album (and locally on several PCs), which will become public very soon.
This thread is getting locked. For one, this is a kid-friendly page, so titling a thread with "shit" in it isn't particularly nice. Also, Echo, regardless of the integrity of your runs (which honestly has come into question), you're not going to be allowed to call out other members on here and use our community platform for hate.
We're working on adjusting the boards in the Discord right now.
As per the newest patch to Speed Run 4, some changes are being made soon.
The leaderboards will be archived safely, and then wiped. We would never delete all the runs without backing up the boards thus far, so we will do so first.
The new boards will feature the same categories as we currently have, but with no standing times, given the major changes to the game.
If you are worried about your run, the game's progression, or any other aspect of our current boards, take it upon yourself to screenshot, record, or otherwise document it. This will help ensure that this game's history is never lost by those who care about it.
Thank you.
eBay is how Morei got it, and he's sharing the disc with me at some point... try your luck on there, yo
insert a nice meme about an 18 year old game

If you'd like to ensure you avoid any recording or streaming issues in the future, use OBS. It's a free, stable, multiplatform piece of software used by many successful speedrunners.
We don't provide categories for paid levels/items due to a core belief that anyone should be able to speedrun this free game for free, no exceptions.
That said, if you would like to run the paid levels, feel free to take a video and put it in the Discord server.
The only problem with this is that you can't start at 17. If you were able to, then I'd be 100% in, but since you have to play 1-16 first anyway, you might as well run 32.
If you're interested in running the game, and wish to interact with other members of the community, please do so in our Discord server. Invite link below.
Because I've uploaded this tonight, and I have school tomorrow, I'm gonna leave it off for now. If you have a run on the leaderboard in first place, please do your part to time it correctly and resubmit.
Please watch this and apply it for future runs. This is an objective way to keep things fair and fun for everybody.
And as I was saying before - there's no need to make things like this a big blame game on the forums. I would have no incentive to single anyone out on accurate timing, I just have weak wrists and a busy schedule. I'm going to start on this after I eat dinner.
My plan had been, and continues to be, that once I got home from school I would retime the first place runs in each level 1-16, since those were the ones I had retimed today. I hadn't gotten to it yet, because I got home 5 minutes ago. Everything has a little bit of a wait time, I'm still a real person.
Here's the reality of it:
I'm a college student, and I have a job. That means I don't have infinite time to moderate this game. That said, I do take time out for it often, and I stick to the idea that no run should sit for more than 48 hours without being verified or rejected, unless there's an outside issue. The people here saying to add a new mod seem to be people who aren't in our Discord. If you submit a run and you want it moderated faster, you can easily use our Discord server to talk about it and encourage faster moderation, from me and ninja.
I'm not going to add any new mods right now. I encourage you all to join the Discord server, as it is by far the most prevalent form of communication in this community.
