That list tells me what star coins to get, but it doesn't list all the levels. I guess I can just watch Greg's video and make splits from the route that he uses.

That actually sounds like a good idea. I think some other Mario games do this, as well.

I just need the list of levels, number of star coins per level, and where to spend the coins.

A warpless race would be awesome! There are so many clutch moments in the run. I feel like one of us would have to get sub 50 first, though- GDQs are very picky about their schedule.

I think sub 23 is totally possible on Wii U VC, as the new IL strats save a bunch of time. I see it happening within the next 3 months. On DS, however, I think that sub 23 would have to be absolute perfection.

So theoretically, if somebody got the "perfect" any% run, what would the time be? The run would have to be on Wii U VC, obviously, so in my opinion the best possible time would be about 22:30. What do you guys think?

Also, I just realized that the first star coin in 2-1 is literally impossible to skip as small mario. Maybe we should make star coins ok to get, but not spend.

We wouldn't have to do the world 2 boss, there's a warp to world 5 in that world.

Can we add a low% category? It would be any% but with small Mario only, and no star coins. Seems like a fun idea.

I didn't mean for emulator times to get hidden, I was just pointing out the fact that Acebentura completed his run on emulator, when the leaderboard said it was completed on the DS.

Just wanted to point out that the Cannonless WR was done on emulator, not DS (the leaderboard says DS).

Ok, so I decided to create a NSMB speedrun wiki, which will hopefully help new players get introduced to the community and the various runs. Do you guys think this is a good idea? The page would contain strats for each individual level, as well as general platforming tips.

So here's where the problem comes in. Ewaller just got a 25:12 on Wii U VC, which is equivalent to a 25:47 on DS. While the run is still very good, the leaderboard shows him in 2nd, when he should be in 4th (because wii U VC saves 35 seconds in loading times).
