Sellbot Factory Warehouse rail clip useful?

I'm not too familiar with toontown speedrunning but it's something I wanted to give a shot in my spare time. Messing around in the Sellbot Factory learning the run I noticed how when you enter the warehouse you can clip through the rails around the second to top step (I have clips of this, not sure if I can post that here). Is that something that could be potentially useful, or is it something known that people just don't bother to do?

If it has to do with clipping then it's not allowed. Something you can do however is a very simple trick that involves the stairs which lead to the warehouse battle, where with the right positioning and timing, you can do a backwards jump on the stairs and trigger the battle a few seconds faster. This is possible because the cogs' hitboxes are oddly expanded by a ton and they happen to infiltrate through the ceiling, so it's not actually a glitch. You can see several of the top runners using this trick in their runs so I suggest you refer to at least one of them to get more insight on the trick and learn about it. Also check out the game rules found on the leaderboard section if you haven't already!

Alright, that makes sense. I did read over the rules, I just wasn't entirely sure if this counted or not since you're not clipping out of bounds, moreso that you're jumping over an obstacle without collision

Would you mind posting a clip here that demonstrates it? I'm just curious to see how it's done.

I'm not sure if I can post clips here. If you're able I can probably send it over discord or something along those lines

Here actually I figured I'd just put it on youtube:

It's very consistent, it's just a matter of getting to the send to top stair, and anything to the right of it seems to have no collision.

Ok I'll allow that, but... that hardly saves time. lol

Thanks, I wasn't sure myself if it was useful myself which is why I was asking in the first place. It seems like people are mixed on its practicality but if it does seem ultimately useful i'm curious to see the potential this would have on runs, what little it may bring.
