We discussed it in the Discord server some lately and have decided to allow the use of scripts (with programs like AutoHotkey) to mash is allowed in Duping categories.

This is to make duping statues significantly more reliable and just generally make the categories more enjoyable to run.

Even with scripted mashing we don't seem to be able to make duping 100% consistent but it is much more consistent than mashing manually. If we do find a way to make it 100% consistent then rules could potentially be changed again but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Another update related to this is that in Duping categories we decided that doing 1 to 3 Dupes will make runs invalid. The reasoning behind this is that it's incredibly inconsistent (significantly more so than regular 1 to 2 duping). If 1 to 3 dupes were allowed in duping categories it would mean that someone could just get some lucky dupes and be at large advantage and that would make competing in the category significantly less fun for everyone. If we find a way to make 1 to 3 dupes more consistent than this rule could be changed in the future but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

People are more than welcome to make their own scripts or use other programs, but please do post here or in the discord just so we're all on the same page (if someone finds a better way to script it than I did).

If anyone needs help setting things up feel free to ask here or in the Discord. I'm by no means an expert but I know AHK well enough to get it working.
