You've installed the emulator correctly, now you need to obtain ROM files, which include the actual games. We can't discuss how to obtain those on the site because it's a gray legal area, so you'll have to look elsewhere.
Not sure if this is intentional, but on the WR graph, runs from a visible category but a miscellaneous subvariable are still automatically shown. This contrasts runs from (just) miscellaneous categories, which are invisible by default.

Unrelated, it seems the message that only content mods can change base games redirects to the old thread instead of this current thread. Might want to quickly fix that.
Dunno how practical this would be, but how about an option to compare different speedrunners on the graph (per category)? This would be like the current setup, but instead of selecting categories, one would select runners within a certain category.
I'm unfamiliar with making autosplitters, but you shouldn't need to worry about timing, other runners use a manual timer like LiveSplit for their runs. Even if you accidentally start your timer at the wrong place, you can always retime the run based off the video. Having a visible timer is usually just for convenience.
If it's been more than 21 days, you should try and contact the moderator via one of their social media accounts. If they don't reply, you might want to post on this thread.

I'm not sure how great we'll be at helping you make new friends, but it's good to note that therapy always exists as an option. If you need a place to open up, that's an excellent option.
