Buy it, it's on gog https://www.gog.com/en/game/the_suffering_ties_that_bind
You have to do it all in one sitting, you can take breaks but they will need to be included in the run time.
That's what restricted is for, unrestricted is what it says, unrestricted meaning you can use whatever accessibilites and extra modifiers like cheats that you want. The rules very clearly state the difference between the categories, you're wanting to look at the restricted category which doesn't allow the use of game modifiers.
@DNB_ If you wanna talk about it more, feel free to DM me on discord.
Everyone has opinions and people always love to complain about something, the timing method for PC isn't going to change and we will not be merging the boards as like I said, there's reasons behind both of these decisions. Just because one person decides to complain about something so minor doesn't mean we are going to make said change. I'm locking this thread as it seems to have derailed from the main point.
Long story short, the speedrun mode is the only option we had for PS5 so we used it, but for PC it's a lot more customizable and the current timer we are using like mentioned above doesn't pause the timer during cutscenes, this is the main reason for using LRT and not the speedrun mode as the speedrun mode pauses the timer during cutscenes which we do not want.
The PC version will be timed using the ASL (LRT) and will not use the speedrun mode.
It's possible to do the airwalk without tweaks, it's just extremely difficult and would make peoples arms falls off trying to do it so for the sake of ones wellbeing it is banned for regular Any%.
I get you're referring to PC but are you asking for a 100% NG+ category in general? Because that already exists. As for PC, I'm sure in due time all the categories will be set up for the PC version, the same way they are for 2018.
That sewer bug is just random, you pretty much just have to hope it doesn't happen. Also I didn't know it worked on PS5, I tried it a while ago and it wouldn't even let me download it on PS5, I don't have an issue with it though.
Submissions will open on the 16th, this is to ensure that we as the mod team can make a definitive and concise ruleset, as well as figure out the logistics of how we plan to move forward when it comes to the timing method the game will use as well as the categories that will be made.
I've done also a bunch of marathon runs that might helpful, I plan on making a tutorial soon but a lot of the tricks and route are pretty straight forward, pretty much just do what you see
For console you would use a new profile and user to do the run, for PC you would just backup and delete your saves.
Doesn't matter if it can't be done in a single playthrough, if that's the case then you would do multiple playthroughs in 1 run, that's how the Platinum Trophy runs are done in Until Dawn.
