All I can say is that this suggestion have been discussed in the discord, the community is divided when it comes to the idea both in practice for how such a run would look like and differ from the regular any% route, as well as the questionable interest for how many people would genuinely care. Feel free to join the discord to take part of these conversations, I know cosmic have looked into this recently.

I agree that it shouldn't be on the runners to take private contact on social media just to reach out to mods not being active, but until SRC messages gets going, we don't seem to have a choice. Ofc, if the mods in question are inactive, I don't see what good that would do.. What it should come down to first and foremost is having mods whom genuinely care, in reality: that's not at all how people come to be mod for most games featured here. I myself am stuck as placeholder mod for 1 game right now, simply because im at least an active runner and check SRC daily.
Unfortunately: The truth is that not enough people care and step up to help moderate, and the other problem being that the right people choose not to, power abusive vultures have no problem stepping in to fill the slot: as we've seen on multiple occasions. What it comes down to is offering the position to already established and trustworthy people that the staff is familiar with, but then risk putting way too many titles on well known runners. Ultimately, people generally have to get more comfy with the idea of helping out with moderating in the community. Its an ungrateful job most days and I can certainly understand the appeal of leaving the position to others, but that's partially the reason we get into these positions as well. The community needs to help itself if it's gonna last longterm. I for one hate the idea of being a moderator for anything, im lazy... But if the option is to leave it to individuals unable to care for said games, I'll suck it up and help out where help is needed.
btw, removing the ability to load games by pages is hella slow when you try to go through all the games in the NES library. Which is something I typically do all the time just to see how many people runs what (which hey, about that player count). If I wanna sort games now, I have to go by lowest or highest run account and start from one end then go to the other. Because loading in about 400-500 games at once seems to slow down alot.
Everyone's free to have an opinion, I don't agree that it would be redundant though. The whole point with a feedback thread is to give just that, and that's the search function I solely relied on before this new update for the past 2y. The most useful search order imo is MIA and I would like it back. Blessed be the mod whom fulfills this plebs wish BlessRNG
Which indeed shows games by active runners, but there used to be an option to sort games by player count. As in how many players have run said game in total. Not to be confused by run count mind you.
minor thing, but I cannot see the comment I put in the description for my latest submission. https://www.speedrun.com/roller_games/run/mk2eew3m
I went back to some older submissions on other games and I can read those just fine, same goes for comments by other runners for this game.
series pages loads slow for me too, I think that's just a general rule for SRC?

I was told by a content mod to just make a thread and reach out in the forums. I would like to assume this behavior presented by the creator of said thread is not acceptable. I don't know if there's such a thing as a warning system in place, but this is not something I deem fine.
This is absurd, you argue for a definition categorization of what a clip belongs to. It doesn't excuse the fact that you misread the rules and submitted a 19:36 with a sector 4 clip timmy. Just submit a new time and read the rules closer next time.
dunno what's up with SRC in showing twitch affiliate symbols next to my username. Because now I have guns pointed at my face rather than my actual twitch sub-badges. Nothing seeminly wrong when I check my twitch affiliate profile, quite peculiar
Ya I can agree from just learning the first game this week and watching the current runs for this that there def should be category separations based on difficulty. Most noticeably right now, 2/3 runners are running easy whilst the other one runs normal.
We already have separation for the first game anyway so it would be nice to have consistency for the handheld series.
Update: I did managed to get ahold of him, he's been made aware and we'll go from there
@Liv I haven't attemtped to reach out to his youtube account, that's certainly an unorthodoxed method compared to any other mod I've reached out to in the past 2 years. I can give it a try... I just learned and beat the game today, going to submit run tomorrow. The reason firstly is because I dont know if he's even aware that the previous mod bailed and made him a mod.
I'd like to request mod for https://www.speedrun.com/gradiusnemesis
The prev mod bailed and gave it to a previous runner and dont have any kind of social media on his profile. The only way to contact him is through his youtube.
