I have no issue with it either. It's a comfort level adjustment, not an adjustment that would give you an unfair advantage.

What is different about the UE version and is there a reason using standard Nestopia isn't reasonable?

We have no control over other games. You need to make a game request and the SRC site mods will handle it.
I think we can at least discuss it. I get it from the runner's end.
It would be painful to remove the resets from the times admittedly. IF we happened to go through with this, then what would the upper threshold for resets? We would need to implement one, so I'm open to suggestions. If we didn't establish one, then someone is going to do a run, reset and then walk away for 5 minutes and expect us to remove all that time from the run.
We aren't currently planning on moving any categories at this time.

A lot of the clone consoles aren't accurate enough to be suitable for a game with the level of optimization that this game has. Other leaderboards are a little more relaxed and will allow you to use those (SMB3).
I don't know what the framerate for the Retro Duo would be, but I highly doubt it would match that of the NES/SNES. The reason for that is because the video output falls outside of the NTSC specification which would be 59.94 FPS for progressive (deinterlaced) video. NES/SNES runs at 60.0988, so I doubt these days, someone would produce a console out of spec. For other consoles that have HDMI output, the HDMI standard is capped at 60 FPS. That's probably partly why NES/SNES Classic and Switch are capped at 60, because it's not possible for it to go higher. There's a little more to it, but I feel that's going far enough into the weeds.
I've had a Dazzle for 7 years, so if you have questions about that, I can likely help you. The best way to capture the game audio is use Amarec 3.10 and then feed that into OBS.

@WolfAttacK I looked at your most recent run (5-4) and that was okay. As long as it's loud enough for us to be able to hear it, you should be fine.
We've had an increase in "oops, no audio" lately and it's time we explicitly implemented that, consistently across the board. This shouldn't be a problem for the majority of you, especially those running on emulator. For those of you using software that's not capturing the audio, I'd recommend using a product that does. I generally recommend using OBS, even if you don't stream because you can local record rather easily with it.
This helps with legitimacy, not "entertainment." I've verified over 1700 runs, I don't think the game audio entertains me anymore.

Unless there's a very recent development, there is no practice ROM for any of the All-Stars games with the exception of SMB3.
@KilleDragon did you miss the part where the developer of the emulator explicitly says "Note for speedrunners: Using features such as run ahead to reduce lag typically counts as cheating for the purposes of speedrunning"
Please explain to me why we should NOT believe the developer.
You also still have not posted a single run for this game, but yet you still seem to want to dictate how things are ran here.
