Love seeing Minecraft, SM64, SMO, Celeste, Hades, Portal with such high player counts. Not so happy about the others, lmao
I've noticed that 1st and 2nd are off by only some milliseconds. In these cases, it is inaccurate to use the livesplit time (more so than usual) because it is controlled by a human. Retiming these runs to the millisecond could prove the 2nd place to be faster than 1st. So, I've gone ahead and retimed these:
SirSheepe - Time starts at 11.717 and ends at 677.100 at 60 fps to get a final time of 11m 05s 383ms. (using https://mattbraddock.com/yt-frame-timer/)
Magz - This was much more difficult because it was on twitch, but after downloading the video, transcoding it, popping it into a video editor, I got the time 11:05.458.
So while no change in place actually occurred, I would still like to see their times changed to reflect the above
Because:
- More people care about it (subjective)
- More interesting to run (any% is like 8 minutes of dialogue)
- I think it's more the main focus of the game rather than the full thing.
I don't know if the mods here are aware of the setting though. If not, it basically means when you load up the leaderboard from it's default URL (https://www.speedrun.com/minecraft_terra_swoop_force) it shows the "view all" mode of ILs by default rather than the full-game leaderboards.
The popup video ads in the bottom right are very annoying, especially because they autoplay a video everytime you open a new page. I use adblock, but whenever I'm on a different device or incognito, this can get very frustrating. Besides, adblock defeats the point of having ads on here, I'd love to support the site, the banner ads are fine, but its self defeating when to use the site I need to turn on adblock. There's a reason the site ran on donations before. I know this is not an uncommon opinion.
Heya guys, I've started this discord: https://discord.gg/yGnZthrQ2t recently to house Human Benchmark highscores / leaderboards. I love the site and have wanted a community for it for a while now, decided to make it myself. If you guys are interested, feel free to head over! It's very small atm so I'm trying to spread the word. Thanks guys!

Fwiw, there were more runs on that board that got deleted, like mine. The timer was hella inconsistent. Seems like they're finally doing something about it
(the rules on what games are added changed between those two requests)
wondering what staff's take on this is
It's only not okay if they find you out. Most communities are heavily, heavily against it and honestly its pretty bad ethics wise. But strictly speaking, most cracked games are identical to their paid counterparts, so you're unlikely to have trouble (unless you're stupid)
They have a website linked on the sidebar. https://dsdarchive.com/
The answer to the question is not that music is directly responsible for rejection, but that some games have audio requirements, and if your video gets muted when uploaded to youtube that can cause a rejection. A way around this is to upload it somewhere else, like google drive, where it won't get muted.
In games that I've played, the music just needs to be audible (specifically just SFX), so i have my music playing in the background and the SFX a little louder and it's fine.
