One must commend the residents of Whoville on their transition to such an acidic environment, but one does wonder how it was accomplished and for what gain. A pineapple has its defenses; its hard shell must prove an imposing barrier for such a diminutive people. And while a pineapple surely defends against the sea, the ocean floor is not a place for the faint of heart. Who live in a pineapple under the sea, but why?
Or where. The nomeclature of the question leads us to believe that there is only one ("the") sea, but in truth there are many. If we really want to get to the root of this conundrum, we should stake out on a quest to locate said pineapple and meet this one they call Who.
What if the pineapple is a fake, and just looks like a real pineapple? There have been some very convincing fruits made of substances such as wax and cake in the past. Maybe they could be in other oceans when made of other materials?
I assume nobody here has actually been to a pineapple under the sea to know this for sure, but I would be glad to be proven wrong.
