little bit offtopic but sometimes antimalware programs are programmed to block such sites to prevent "piracy". so everytime it blocks a site for you it doesnt always have to be a virus/malware flooded site

Hey i decided to run the nsc category again to better out my current time and watched the newest world record. Then i saw that unlike evyrbody else pokeguy84 didnt manip his trainer ID like everybody else does.

Is this a new way to do it or what exactly happens there.

"timed out" in what way? .. i mean .. loading screens and stuff are "timed out" by the autosplitter but at this part the timer is running. what exactly do you mean with "timed out" .. sry i dont get it :^)

i have this big problem that the part before the actual game starts is extremly laggy. Rest of the game is "fine" (maybe one or two lags here and there) but this part is pretty annoying since i cant compare myself to other times.

I made a short comparison video to show what i mean and ask you if there are any possible fixes for this.

FeelsBadMan ... if you ask me the categories are good as they are now but those sub categories are pretty messed up ... i mean what even means legacy? we only have ds and psp^^

why exactly did you guys seperated skip and skipless. in my opinion it is really too much.

oh wow thanks. really appreciate it!! :O sry that im so annoying but this pipe, the elevator skip in "fly trap" that wont work for me and complete "tickets please" are the parts of the run that keep me away from a better time. the rest is just better routing. and with your help there are only two annoying parts left i have to solve! HYPE!

edit: ok Hekigan you dont have to make a video about this anymore. i found my last mistake. I just have to try to wallclimb more on the left side of the wall so faith has a chance to grab the pipe. before this I aimed just randomly around the middle so after the turn the pipe was to far left for her to grab it.

thanks galaxy now the height is perfect but faith doesnt grab the pipe....i guess i have to continue the longer route through the building ... its like 1 or 2 minutes longer ...

ok even with this suggestion i cant manage to do this trick.

i recorded some attempts here with my inputs onscreen... maybe you can see my mistakes. i bet its a stupid mistake Kappa

little update: i get the first of your two methods but only once in like 20 tries. i struggle with grabbing that pipe .. feels like im not getting high enough. are there any tips'n'trick ? (ofc im doing that fastturn thingy to get a little height but its not enough :( ) sry if i annoy you guys with my questions:D thats by far the "hardest" part for me by now :^)

Hey Guys. Im pretty new to running this game (actually i started yesterday) and i was watching Tommoa's guide while playing the same route until i came to the one part in "Benefactor" where you have to climb the metal thingy and get stuck so you can climb even higher.

My problem now is that i cant manage to get stuck. I tried Tommoas angle almost hundred times and different ones, too.

Do you guys have some tips for me?`:^)

yeah im playing on an emulator ... bgb (ofc because of the GAMEBOY "bootlogo"). and no i dont think it skips frames...well actually i dont know ... i didnt change anything in the emulator settings except from showing the bootlogo ^^

hey after several problems with this categorie which i already solved myself i got to the next problem where i need your help.

everything is working fine ..

• got the pidgey manip
• got brock skip
• got the "new"-ish way to the cave
• got ditto manip

BUT i cant catch it.

i tried it hours and hours like they described it in the updated guide document. but it never works.

do i miss something crucial? something only noobs do wrong ? :^)

@problemstrol did you find an answer? .. i have the same problem .. even if i downloaded the gbc_bios.bin it always says that its type is snes9x_bios ...

ye after the two screenshots from daccoix i get the save-glitch almost all the time now. but im horrible at strafing .. so shooting on the floor while jumping and strafing to the portal like you did in the tutorial XeiZ is pretty hard for me but i will practise it and hopefully be able to do it before i start hating myself and stop speedrunning. i know how much time you guys put in it and i really want to be a part of you runners :D
