I rejected a Softlock% run last night which has a similar problem that I've seen several times recently with runs in the category.

Just so every one understands, a Softlock is just causing an issue with the game that makes it so that the only way to resolve it is to turn off or reload the game. There are several ways to do it in LCU, the fastest is just nearby where you start the game. You can see it in the WR runs for the category in the Remaster release.

Several runners have been just going to the gated port in Auburn, hitting the trigger and then just stopping the timer. That by itself is not softlocking the game.

In order to softlock in that way you need to Pause the game at the same time has you hit the trigger. This causes the game to attempt opening the pause menu at the same time as the trigger is hit which makes the game go to black and stay black forever until you power off and then on the game again.

If there are any runners who are new to this game, and wanted to try this category, please ensure you properly softlock the game before submitting it to the leaderboards. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask here or in our discord server. We are always happy to help.

It was recently discovered on the LEGO City Undercover discord that we can enter the final level of the game "Fly Me to the Moon" near the beginning of the game due to placement of triggers of every level. Because of this it was decided by the community to rename the original Any% runs as "All Chapters" runs. This change can also encourage any runner to do routing found and refined over the years for these runs. Both All Chapters and Undercover% runs will disallow the use of the discovery, so that the runs will play through the game's story in it's entirety.

Hello, Ignition is one of my Childhood games and have been interested running this game for a while. However, I felt it I should bring up to the community here that there is a fan site holding times for the tracks in this game. The leaderboards on the site haven't been updated since 2008, and the times on the ghost files suggest the times were done in 1999-2001.

I found while looking at the Wikipedia article of the game, which only contains just a handful of sentences. I don't know if this needs to be placed on the Speedrun.com since there is no video footage of these runs, only ghost data. I figured it should be mention here in case there hasn't been any knowledge of this leaderboard.

I've added a Leaderboard for IL runs in quick race and time trial modes. There are two categories because the runner can get different times depending on which mode and track is chosen.

Mist Mountain can get a faster time in Time Trial compared to Quick Race, where as the opposite is true on Space Out.

I found an interesting thing about stealing the car for Chan. I lost a heart, during an untimed practice run, and decided to lose some more hearts down to 1 left. I delivered the car to him in that manner, and he says, "YOU COMPLETELY DESTROYED IT! But, you did delivered it rather quickly so I guess I can trust you." I have never heard that before ever. Someone commented on the [F]WR video suggesting that I should use the Spanish Language cause its faster. I am a bit skeptical about this as I feel that the difference will be in how long the characters talk, which sounds close to the length of the English dialogue. If anyone (cough StiWiiRage cough) would like to test the different languages then go right ahead.

Without doing extensive testing I think that we should keep using our native language, unless using a specific language is magically faster.
