Crazily enough you can buy a game and then not like it. That being said, there's also a free beta for pretty much any cod game so you can try it out, and people complain about every game, no matter how goo it is (I mean have you seen literally anyone talking about league?
is this a reddit repost or something?
Just make sure you backup stuff you need on google drive, dropbox, or something like that. It's also a pretty idea to do routine backups of these things anyway just in case your PC randomly breaks or your DO get some super messed up virus, I'd recommend doing that anyway.
@makauchan most capture cards handle all the heavy lifting on your own and pretty much any PC made in the last decade should be able to handle a capture card. PS4 remote play would both need to remotely connect and play the games while recording the game. I'd personally recommend getting a capture card (the one I use is the mirabox, but you can find other stuff here: https://www.speedrun.com/streaming_recording_equipment/thread/1mkl1).
That being said, it could just be that you have extremely high/bad recording settings. If you wanna try and get remote play working though it'd be nice if you could answer some questions. 1.) What are your computer's specs? 2.) Can you showcase what the stuttering looks like? 3.) Assuming you're using OBS, what are your OBS settings (stuff like high bitrate/resolution/the type of capture can have drastic effects on FPS)?
Also, just pointing a phone or camera at your TV is always the cheapest and easiest option as Pear said, so if you don't wanna spend money and don't particularly care about the quality of your run I'd recommend doing that.
goodbye I guess, was this a bot or something? how'd it get banned in 20 hours
While I will always use adblock, even if a site doesn't have ads, just because I like to, I still find it weird that while people who originally donated are just recognized and aren't excluded from the ads (assuming that's the case from what people are saying here), although it is nice that they kept the donor tag despite possibly recieving 0% of the prior site donations. Not sure why they removed donations, but back when I donated it was just because I liked how easy this site was to use to find speedrunning communities and WRs, not to remove ads or whatever, so if nothing I think it'd be cool for them to add that option back for those who want to, even if there are no associated benefits.
I think having ads to guarantee the future of this site without doing anything crazy like monetizing actual site aspectes is honestly a positive, but there probably should be some way for your average internet user who doesn't use things like adblock to be able to get rid of them, even if it is at a steep price.
as much as I wanna hit 100 pages I'm not sure if I can do it

RWhiteGoose is likely one of (if not) THE first members for sure. As for first run, no clue.
