Could you please change the trophy pictures to something that is actually related to the game? Suggestions: 1st place: Teddy Floppy Ear, 2nd place: Uncle, 3rd place: Big Bear. Or just use the standard trophies.

I am running and moderating two games which are both part of the Bibi Blocksberg franchise. The first one is called Bibi Blocksberg - Big Broom Race 3 and the other one is Bibi and Tina - Adventures with Horses.

Both games are based on the same franchise and play in the same universe. Bibi & Tina is kind of a spin-off but not really. It's more like stories in the Bibi Blocksberg universe with another title because the original stories usually take place in the city while the Bibi & Tina stories take place on the farm where Tina lives but apart from that the characters and the rest of the universe are the same.

Would you say this counts as a series? It's the same franchise and the same universe but technically it could be counted as two different game series. But I think it would be nice to have them listed in the same series. Would that be appropriate?

(Oh, by the way, we're looking for some friendly competition in those games so if you're looking for a new speedgame you may want to check those out. ^^)

Hello and welcome to this guide for the All Pearls category which has recently been added to the leaderboard. I made this guide to show how many pearls there are in each level and which chests to avoid because they're empty. Feel free to leave feedback.

In total there are 30 chests: 9 with power pearls, 13 with range pearls and 8 empty chests.

The power pearls enable you to catch fish in a bubble with less shots and to move objects. As far as I know you need one power pearl to move barrels, two power pearls to move small rocks and three power pearls to move large rocks. The range pearls increase the range of your shot which is especially useful in the boss fight of Stage 2.

When you move objects they can sometimes go off screen. You have to swim with the objects to keep it on screen, otherwise it will disappear and you have to swim back to make it respawn. If an object hits a chest it will open it and disappear and won't respawn.

If you die you lose your upgrades and have to reset the run since many pearls can not be aquired without upgrades.

• Open chest 1 with a shell.
• Open chest 2 with a shell.
• Open chest 3 with a shell.

• Push the barrel down the stairs to open chest 1.
• Push the barrel down the stairs to open chest 2. This requires some precision in your positioning and you need to avoid the projectiles of the squid.
• Open chest 3 with a shell.
• Jump on the platform to the left, turn around and press attack to push the shell into the water to open chest 4 with it.
• Push the small rock to make it fall down and open chest 5. Swim down with the rock to prevent it from falling off screen and disappearing.

• Push the shell from the ice into the water.
• Chest 1 is empty, ignore it.
• Open chest 2 with the shell you took from the ice.
• Swim down into the hidden room and open chest 3 with the large rock.
• Swim up, then to the right, take the shell, swim back and open chest 4.
• Chest 5 is empty, ignore it.
• Push the shell from the ice into the water and use it to open chest 6.
• Chest 7 is empty, ignore it.
• Take a shell, throw it over the barrier and use it to open chest 8.
• Open chest 9 with a shell.

Number of chests: 5 Power pearls: 1 Range pearls: 2 Empty chests: 2

• Open chest 1 on the left with a shell.
• Chest 2 on the right is empty, ignore it.
• Open chest 3 with a shell.
• Chest 4 is empty, ignore it.
• Open Chest 5 with a small rock.

Number of chests: 8 Power pearls: 2 Range pearls: 3 Empty chests: 3

• Swim past the portal and push the barrel to the left to open chest 1.
• Chest 2 on the right is empty, ignore it.
• Swim back and go through the portal and continue like you would in Any%.
• Chest 3 is empty, ignore it.
• Throw the shell over the barrier and use it to open chest 4.
• Push the small rock to the right to open chest 5.
• Push the large rock to the left to open chest 6.
• Open chest 7 on the left with the shell from above.
• Chest 8 on the right is empty, ignore it.

I'd like to request a new category called All Pearls where you have to beat the game as fast as possible while also collecting all pearls in the game. If I have counted correctly there should be 22 pearls (9 Power Pearls and 13 Range Pearls) in the game. Here's my test run for this category in which I did a lot of mistakes so there's much room for improvement:

I'd love to see this category added and would be excited to see how others run it and how low we can push the time on this run. If people are interested in running this category I'd be happy to post a guide explaining how many pearls can be found in each level and which chests to avoid because they're empty.

I currently started running this game and I really enjoy it. From playing myself and from watching runs from other people I tried to figure out how RNG works in this game and how it can be manipulated. The most obvious example of RNG manipulation seems to be the walrus boss of level 3 Sea of Ice. By jumping on the ice you can manipulate the RNG to always throw shells which you need to damage and defeat the walrus. But how does RNG manipulation work with the other bosses? Is it even possible? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences on this.

I once saw a video about a game (pretty sure it was a 2D platformer) where you could find a certain food (it may have been garlic but I'm not sure) pretty early in the game and when you carried it to the last boss (which was quite a hassle) you could instantly defeat the boss because they were allergic to the food. Does anyone know what game that is? I couldn't find it online.

Edit 1: I just found it on YouTube, it's Spelunky where you can defeat the boss with an eggplant. Found in this video:

I want to run this game using bgb emulator and I wonder if it would invalidate my run if I would use a custom colour palette? The palette still consists of four different colours which are very distinct from each other, they're just not the standard Gameboy colours.

Edit: My runs with a custom colour palette got verified so I guess that means it's okay.

I would really appreciate it if there was a field on profiles to add our pronouns. Is there a chance this can be added?

Quite a while ago I picked up this game casually and after completing it I started practicing a speedrun. However, because the game kept crashing (seemingly) randomly I got frustrated and stopped practicing my run. I tried to look for solutions online already but couldn't find a way to make the game stop crashing. How did you manage it? Is there a patch I didn't find? Any other solution? I'd appreciate any help. I play the game on Windows 10 if that matters.

My name is Laika, I'm a non-binary trans girl, my pronouns are she/her, I've been interested in speedrunning for quite some time now and I finally decided it's time to sign up here.

I've watched and enjoyed a couple of GDQs over the years and have tried to speedrun several games myself before (for example Super Mario Land on Gameboy or The Stalin Subway on PC) but so far I didn't have the time, energy and patience to actually practice enough to finish a run. That has changed now. I've completed my first speedrun and have already beaten my own PB several times. Since the game is not yet listed here it will take several days for me to submit it, so stay tuned for the surprise which game it'll be. 😌

I hope to have a lot of fun speedrunning and with this community.

Let's say I make a run in Any% in which I don't use any glitches to save time because I'm not aware there are any. If another person finds glitches to save time and as a result makes my glitchless run obsolete for Any%, can I submit my run to Glitchless category?
