My opinion is that speedrunning is about beating a game as fast as humanly possible and that turbo gives inputs that are not humanly possible
Adding to this, I also couldn’t find an instance of a shot being missed in the attempt sessions. The only time shots were ever missed where when the trigger was pulled before the duck actually spawned. It seems that every time the trigger is pulled with the duck on screen it detects as a hit even if it only spawned a frame or two prior
We’re planning on adding a zapper cam requirement for runs going forward. It’s been brought up in the past and we think it is time to add it as it will add a layer of legitimacy to a leaderboard with some super close competitive times
Many of his shots definitely have unrealistic reaction times, especially in round 5 were the ducks are flying much faster. When watching the runs and attempt sessions I have also noticed that he never misses any shots at the ducks. The only shots that are misses are shots that were taken before the duck spawned. It seems that every time the trigger is pulled the duck is hit regardless of if there was enough time to properly aim. I’m interested to hear more thoughts
I think it would be a good idea to add a category for the NTSC version of the game due to the run and route being very different. At the moment the runs by peco_de_guile and mikeneslive would qualify for this potential new category and I have also done a run of it as well
I think IL leaderboards for the exhibition events would be good to have since they are skipped during Any%
If some emulator submissions come in I’ll definitely have no problem including them on the leaderboard

Categories almost always require you to beat the game. There’s not much point in having one where you play the first few levels then stop
The runs you’re seeing don’t despawn any hyenas. The second and third hyena spawn on the same Y-axis pixel so they come down perfectly overlapped. If you kill them effectively they stay overlapped the whole time and they both take damage and die at the same time. This gives the appearance that there is one on the left and one on the right, but there is actually one on the left and two on the right
