Not a fan of this mode by any means. I don't know what I would change, but something about it isn't fun.
I think the real issue with it is that it's just portal, but the tile you come out of changes every tile you move and it feels confusing to play.
You have little to no time to prepare for the switch, getting only an extra 135ms when eating an apple is too little, not to mention in fast it's even worse.
Currently it stands in the nice spot of "low skill floor + high skill ceiling", anyone can beat this, but being good or fast at it takes some serious work.
