First sub 8!

Watching this back it's hard to even see how it is sub 8 because I see so many mistakes, but a lot of it was aggressive killing of enemies.

I did an on-the-fly re-route that did Pirate 1 before Castle, getting me more daggers. This made the staircase section of castle a bit easier.

You could theoretically do Pirate 1 after Ninja to have more health for the rest of the run, but doing Medusa second removes a few menus (and is also a harder stage done earlier in the run!). This can definitely be improved, but I think I'm satisfied with this time until someone crazy does a TAS of this game.
