Noob guide for those playing the later games first.

As you know, Street Fighter: World Warrior is the first of many Street Fighter 2 version but most of you are probably attuned to playing Championship Edition or Turbo Edition or even the Super versions. As I research further, there are a ton of things that work in that game that won't work in this one. I'll list them as I see them.

Ryu and Ken: In later games, you can Hurricane Kick through most projectiles but in this game it is not gonna work.

Most standing attacks are useless against the car once the top portion is gone especially the Heavy Kick. This was later fixed to where contact is made on lower portions on the car. It's best to use Light Shoryukens so you don't land on the car.

Ryu only Hurricane Kicks in later games, knock down in one hit but here they don't but you can dizzy the opponent if you get in three hits.

Ken only Hurricane Kicks are slower instead of the eggbeater of later games.

E. Honda Honda cannot advance forward during his hundred hand slap. The SNES version removes his Knee Bash hold.

He does not have his light Headbutt invincibility frames.

Blanka Blanka takes double damage when hit during Rolling Attack. That is fixed in later games but retained for SNES.

Rolling Attacks in later games are designed to stop short with weaker buttons but here, it goes full screen regardless of speed.

Guile Against him, don't ever bother trying to throw him after a missed Flash Kick. He will throw you the moment a pixel touches the ground. Not sure if that was fixed.

He has a lot of glitches but they are irrelevant except the Magic Throw which is tough to pull off.

Chun Li Will add later

Zangief This applies to all games actually but for his Spinning Pile Driver you can spin the controller in any direction not just away from the opponent.

His go-behind suplex (Medium Kick Throw) is not in the SNES version

You can't duck Sagat's high tiger shot.

Dhalsim Yoga Drill and Yoga Mummy must be executed at the peak of the jump where later games you can do it any time during a jump.

General Tip On the hardest difficulty, the CPU plays like shit that even a noob can get lucky and 1cc it with right circumstances.
