why is it so much more popular im just curious what makes you like one version over the other. i like shadow and eggman but ig tails and knuckles are cool too. plus sonic got too many skips it's not as cool as shadow. curious what your opinions are tho
It's all subjective but I think the most popular playstyle is easily Sonic/Shadow levels. I think people are more inclined to start with Hero because it has more speed stages than Dark. For me, I started with hero because I preferred knuckles stages to rouge stages
I remember when I was a kid playing the GCN version I couldn't get past the Rouge level where she has to hide in the shadows. Now, it's a piece of cake.
I didn't get past Egg Quarters until my 20's because it was too scary lol.
Hero story doesn't have Sand Ocean jump but I admit that I still like Dark story a bit more, even if I've been playing Hero a lot lately.
