Ppl might use it as an example, to also get their times verified against the rules. Didn’t wanna pressure you to verifying it, if thats kinda the case
I was kinda joking. I guess it did go against the rules, so idk. You dont have to accept it
I just found this video of a Boss Bash TAS, and was wondering wth they were doing on the Hexo fight. I thought the TAS just missexecuted in some way / got bad rng, but then the TAS waits for 30.600 seconds, for no apparent reason, and then gets a good hexo pattern. Its a creator from Japan, so im guessing we dont know who they are, or have a way to contact them. Could it be possible that they found a way to manip Hexo RNG?
Also, you shouldn't mash on Kamek. You should (as of my understanding) hold until 2 shots are fired automatically, and click right after, and repeat. So it should be three shots at a time. Kinda hard to explain, but by watching some top runs, you can see what they do, and try to copy. You should also start holding after taking damage going into the third phase, and in the cutscene going into the first scene. You then do the same strat as before, but you want to get in 4 total shots, then doing the normal strat. Because Kamek needs 10 shots each phase, getting 4, 3, and 3 is significantly faster than 3, 3, 3 and 1. Hope this helps (and yes, i do realise his post is 2 years old, but mabye other people will see and use this 😭🔥🔥💯)
Edit: Not that important, but you CAN damage boost on the first phase of Bowser just before he falls down, to start hitting him quicker. When you practice it a bit, it is a much safer strat than to wait for him to fall, and then running to hit him.
If the strat fails, you can still relatively consistently get a sub 33, by going down left and hitting him 1 last time
i dont have a video with it, but i did get a screenshot, but thats probably not that helpful. Im trying to replicate the trick with a recording at the moment, but can't seem to get it. Im struggeling to get in the timing with hitting bowser, which would be slightly faster than just mashing i think. Here is the screenshot:
Talking about consistency, i found "my own way" of doing the bowser snake strat shit, but i have only gotten it once in practive with savestates. With a savestates on each "phase" of Bowser, i got a 30.200, saving like 3 seconds off my pb, but is rlly inconsistent. Should i go for it in runs?
You do the spinny shit normally Then you run towards the box, kick it in the air, punch it, dodge the fireball, and do the rest as normal (on cube/box thing) On snake, you run towards it, get 2 hits, then run forwards to hit it 3 times, before i-frames run out.
