I just found this video of a Boss Bash TAS, and was wondering wth they were doing on the Hexo fight. I thought the TAS just missexecuted in some way / got bad rng, but then the TAS waits for 30.600 seconds, for no apparent reason, and then gets a good hexo pattern. Its a creator from Japan, so im guessing we dont know who they are, or have a way to contact them. Could it be possible that they found a way to manip Hexo RNG?

I dont know if you allready noticed taht, but every run (Sub 30 sec) with video proof has the same "pattern". Red first, then Red and Green and last Green, Red, Yellow. I think that it isnt 100% random.

So sub 30 is easy. xD.

It is random, unless we figure out how to manipulate the rng, so no. Sub 30 is not that easy lmao

I found something. In 20 Runs i got red first (I resettet at every other color), in 18/20 cases i had to groundpound Red first in the second phase. In the third Phase in 19/20 cases i had to groundpund Lime (The one with the X) first. If you take it even further. out of the 19 times I got Lime first, 17 times I had to groundpound Red next. Maybe test this out for yourself. :)

But you reset with savestates, which saves rng. That kinda ruins the point of the fight, no?

Still GG on WR, dont get me wrong, but with savestates, people who play on physical hardware can’t compete

If Savestates are considered cheating, please add this to the rules. Its a little bit weird, because you dont no this as a "new" player. Maybe add Videoproof for Emus as well.

With all due respect, I feel like a rule like that is implied. You're basically submitting a TAS as a run and wondering why it isn't in the rules. Using savestates to save the perfect rng and just grind out perfecting the movement has such an advantage over not using a savestate. But now you know, just treat runners with respect and have fun. Only reason this was any bit of an uproar is because it felt really disrespectful to the already established runs/runners. But anyway, have fun, and good luck on future runs.

To give credit where credit is due, the rules are actually fairly unclear. On Boss Bash, you NEED video for all emu runs, but on IL runs, thats not a rule, but i still think is somewhat required. The rules are also generaly very vague. I'll try to notify mods, and ask for clearer rules. Sorry for a bit of a harsh welcoming, but if you're here to stay, we wish you the best of luck!
