You can do a lot with like 0 hardware (I know a good amount of people run on the raspberry pi). If your issue is running recording software, you can always just record on an external camera or phone.

You kinda just need a lot of time, not sure what skills are involved moderating on src.

Custom maps on leaderboards cause tons of issues across the board whenever they've been allowed in other games. It's very unlikely that we allow them here. You could try to request a board for a specific pack or something though and make boards for that there.

@CobaltFox unfortunately I think most boards wouldn't accept that as a gameboy and classify that more as an emulator. I'll prob add it later (in its own section w/ a warning) tho.

are you saying they made a new rule invaliding your run and you're mad about it, but they won't talk to you?

With the VOD thing, I think you need to make a 'highlight' of your run.

That being said, I'd recommend just recording the run while you stream and uploading to YT to keep things simple as VODs have had issues. Almost everyone here uses OBS and the size of the file is tied heavily to bitrate + resolution. If you're having space issues, I'd considering streaming/recording in 720p (1280x720 res) instead.

Most people use YouTube which has a whole on share button and is completely free to use, is a massive platform, is viewable without an account, and will likely exist for a long time, but if you don't like that you could try something like Odysee or you could clip runs on Twitch and just link the URL.

For me the big 2 things would be:

-Make it easier to manage and view ILs in a game with a lot of them. This currently affects like maybe 2 games site wide, but I happen to be moderating one of them being mario kart fusion As stated, it's really hard to see all the many runs (notice how small the scrollbar on the right is):

-Make the game statistics page work again. Also make it easier to view IL game stats. Possibly having a button when viewing a specific levvel or something linking directly to stats for it would be a really nice addition. RN it's annoying to select one of several hundred levels: Also in games like overwatch that have many categories, platforms, and subcategories, it's bordline impossible to actually view the category you want. I think all the different categories should be disabled by default with like a dropdown menu or something to pick the category and sub category instead of how it currently is.

I think this would be better as most people rarely need to look at more than 1 category when viewing the stats page (although having an option for multiple categories would be nice imo). Having a page to view a chart of all IL run history similar to the full-game one would be sick too.

Generally 3D platformers, depending on how buggy they are it's absolutely insane how price your walking angle, mashing speed, etc. have to be.

2. What is the hardest part of a speedrun? More than one answer if you like, but ranked in order. (Pixel Perfect Jumps, Multi Pixel, Memorization, etc.)

Depends on your level, but at the highest level it'd be things like pixel perfect / frame perfect actions.

3.Hardest type of speedrun, try ranking if possible. (Any%, 100%, Glitchless, Blindfolded, etc.)

Blindfolded, requires an absolutely insane amount of work.

4. Reasons you would not want to start a speedrun. (2 optimized, 2 hard, 2 long, 2 short, etc.) Try ranking please.

Generally because I don't like the game or don't like the things required to speedrun it (like if a beginners route requires a frame perfect trick or something, or if I just straight up don't like the game).

5. For an optimized/satisfactory run, what is an average number of attempts? (1000, 3500, 5000, 10,000, etc. What ever number you think is right)

This has no answer, differs per person, per game. Generally runners are never satisfied with their runs unless they're TAS level, and even then most people arent'.

@SioN nothing's really wrong with run farming. If anything it's a positive because it helps give more exposure/runs to otherwise empty games.
