fast paced platformer i would recommend scratchnapped
Scratchnapped is one of the least fast-paced platformers I have ever had the displeasure of running. The movement is sluggish, unintuitive, and inconsistent. Would not recommend.
I would, however, highly recommend Celeste Classic and Celeste Classic 2, as they are very fast paced platformers with satisfying movement and a high skill ceiling. My personal favorite game to run is Mobility, which is also fast-paced and was my first speedrun.
Can you send a video of the run you think is cheated? Unfortunately there's not much we can do right now since it sounds like you've already reached out to site staff about this.
Semi-related, I don't think making a false cheating accusation should result in getting demoted, as long as it's an honest mistake.
Undertale, Minecraft, and the Gen 5 Pokemon games have phenomenal soundtracks. Rhythm games also usually have good ones too, but I don't play many of those.
This is the funniest post I have seen on the speedrun.com forum in years
^ Maximum tried to make it as objective as possible however it was absolutely not objective whatsoever. You can't rank these kinds of things objectively, and in the case of speedstats.app, it was extremely subjective because Maximum only used information from the speedrun.com leaderboards to calculate scores. Information like how long it took someone to get their PB, how difficult the glitches and skips in the run are, or how optimized the run is compared to the runner's SoB are not factored into the calculations.
I can't believe that speedrun.com went woke and shadowbanned...
Huniepop.
"Out of curiosity, why do you want to follow so many games? I'm wondering if there's an alternate solution that might be more appropriate."
In addition to the roughly 100 games that I actually speedrun, I follow games I've played casually but don't run, the category extensions leaderboards for those games, and other popular games like Super Mario Odyssey, Celeste, etc.
Roblox is a game that constantly releases updates and patches that affect the times that speedrunners can get. "Archived" or "Legacy" category splits are created when this happens so that the world records don't become unbeatable. You can't submit any runs to these categories, they are only there as a way to archive the leaderboard from the previous patch.
I think that users should be allowed to link to their TASvideos or Oengus accounts on their sr.c profile, since they are speedrunning related and serve as another way to contact people if they go inactive.
I have no idea at all why it's slower. I don't think it has anything to do with the framerate either
The TAS is accurate. I made this in libTAS, and there's a setting for what framerate the game runs at. I put 30 instead of 60. All this means is that I had half as many frames to input, so I could have started moving 1/60th of a second earlier in some cases. Everything the TAS does can be done in the regular game though.
I accidentally TASed the whole thing at 30fps. It's still cool to watch, but it's probably possible to save some time by just playing at the right framerate.
