Virtual console is allowed. Make sure to check the rules for timing since it is done differently.
@LukeSaward I think they were just telling Abney that they use Project64, and not saying that Abney was bad. But if I'm wrong then yeah.
To use a .fds rom, you'll have to find a FDS BIOS and store it into the SD Card.
I've read some things on the internet, it might be a faulty SD card.
Friendly reminder that registration closes in a week from today, so if you haven't signed up yet but plan to then make sure to create an account on Challonge and register on the bracket!
Something that I recently thought of that could be an issue with the bot is that it could verify runs that have splices in the given videos. So can the bot go through videos and detect splices/other cheats? If not that's something that I'd consider working on so cheated runs don't get on the leaderboards.
We are hosting a Tier 1 any% tournament!
-Double Elimination Bracket -Top 3 get bit donations. -Registration closes 8/15 at 12am PDT. -Tournament expected to finish by 9/19.
Whoops, it seems like the invite link to the server was actually just the link to a channel, and not an actual invite. It should be fixed.
We cannot tell you where to find the ROM for this game. You must find that yourself.
This should help your situation. https://www.speedrun.com/supermrkrabs/thread/zlpuc
There is no difference between the two.
And if you ever end up in sub 5 range I'd recommend switching to a NTSC console. It has a higher framerate than a PAL console.
Couldn't you remove people from the bracket? Idk where you plan on hosting this tournament, but since experts are known as, well, experts then you could just remove them from the amateur bracket.
I don't understand why you wouldn't be able to.
You should jump from the third step. That should land you right under the koopa and jump again. You should pass the stairs successfully.
IDK if this would work but if you used a CRT TV that has quality of 480i and lower then that should reduce all input lag. I played on Wii on my CRT a month or two ago and I never noticed any input lag.
I don't think there's any in component but I have this composite cable I use for my Wii which could definitely help you out.
The only other flashcart I know of is the Everdrive, but it probably isn't much cheaper than a Powerpak.
Flashcarts for any console are usually expensive.
Ebay has some official N64 controllers. I wouldn't really recommend third party controllers. From what I've experienced the joystick is a pain to move around and the buttons stand out farther from the controller.
Hori is good too, it's primarily used for Bowser fights but I'd figure it's fun to use for general gameplay too.
