Once you have collected a badge and you use it on a level, does it disappear or is it there for ever. Thanks. Trying to gather as much info and ammo before moving out of the easy levels!

It is there forever until you switch to a new badge!

once you unlock a badge it's unlocked permanently, allowing you to use it whenever
