The 1.14 WR has just been beaten again, just half a week after DoyPingu’s WR - this time by Dimeax with 19:30 IGT, making him the first runner to sub20 in 1.14.4 (assuming his run is verified, which it should be - he live-streamed it, and in fact is still on that same stream as I type.

Just me or anyone else think classic strats is dead and buried?

Just like 1.16, everyone is using bastion right now... Strats are evolving.

True, but it still showed the power of extensive ocean travel, even before he found what he needed. It wasn’t a typical classic run in any sense of the word.

If this isn’t crazy enough, if it was pure pirate strats (meaning that he got a bunch of shipwrecks and a monument in that ocean), it could have been faster by almost 5 minutes. Ridiculous if you ask me. I believe pirate strats are the way to go for 1.14.4 WR runs in the future.

He used ocean strats, it's not like every normal 1.14 run. He got stuff from shipwrecks too. If it wasn't his first run of the stream, it would maybe be a minute better. Really good run overall, grats to Dimeax!
