So I've been trying to route out a handgun only (+ Defensives) run on hardcore and it appears to be impossible (Been using Leon A)
Using minimal ammo for zombies, (+/- 5 shots from RNG) I ran out of ammo at Birkin G2.
Regardless, still looking for a knifeless over here.
More extended categories would be nice.
Try handgun only on standard.
Ive been running nade runs on standard. Which is grenade launcher and defensive nades. Pretty fun and feels more like RE. Knife only runs are faster than no knife runs which shows the broke.
I'll try a route on standard, should be possible since more ammo / craft and on pickup.
On my hardcore try I didn't grab the LGP in clock tower, that may have been enough to pull my through G2. Perhaps taking intentional bites to decrease difficulty and picking up the matilda stock will be necessary
Finished a standard Leon A Hand gun only run earlier. Picked up extended clip and muzzle. Used no defensive items(Should be the rule in any "only" run, in Standard anyways). G3 caught me in a one shot kill. Easy to avoid, Decided to continue unloading too long before running.
Definitely need to obtain the stock in next run though.
HG only standard, definitely fun. I died to an Ivy that decided to troll the hell out of me so I lost 5 minutes lol. I can see myself running "Handgun Only" for sure, ie no defense items
I think that a handgun only category would be a great addition to the CE board. I would run the heck out of that.
