BrazilThanks. I can confirm that the SMG I got from the cops on Carbine Rifles. The Micro SMG I still want to find out, mainly out of curiosity at this point. I will do what I said, I will remove all the ammo from these guns and not use them in the run.
I checked my savefile after completing Countryside (I want to run Blitz Play first), and I realize I have two weapons that are banned. SMG on Michael, and Micro SMG on Franklin. So I have two questions:
- Why is SMG on Michael not allowed? You get it after killing the cops on Carbine Rifles. (I still dont know how I got the Micro SMG on Franklin. I am sure this savefile I used was after doing the normal speedrun route.)
- There is no way to drop weapons on GTA 5. If I shoot all my bullets so I dont have ammunition for a gun that is banned, is the run still valid?
I don't know how old this is, but I just saw that we can now run segments on console. This was an old request of mine, and while it was met with critcism before, I'm glad the mods were finally able to figure it out. Thanks to the mods for this.
There is now a 100% category! This has been requested before, and even if there is no full run currently, I think it is an important enough run to merit its own main category.
The merging is now complete! No existing runs have been lost; all runs affected by this have been alocated to the correct category.
Glitchless NG+ has been completely merged with Any% NG+ (Standard and Very Hard). All existing runs of the Glitchless NG+ category are now listed in the correct Any% NG+ tab.
Glitchless Standard has been merged with Any% Standard. All existing runs of the Glitchless Standard category are now listed in the Any% tab.
Glitchless Very Hard has not been merged with Any% Very Hard, because the latter uses the XP glitch. Very Hard Glitchless is now a separate category.
I have also changed the theme of the game. I think this image of the cover art is much better. Feel free to share your opinions.
I have proceeded with the merging of the categories. Glitchless NG+ is now complete. I will later do Glitchless Standard (not Very Hard), as I figure out how to create the new Very Hard Glitchless category.
All Muspelheim Impossible Trials, previously a misc category in the main God of War (2018) page, has been moved to the Category Extensions page, along with all the verified runs of that category.
This category was originally a cooperation between Speedrun.com and the Guinness World Records. In September 2020 the deal was expired, and the category was left as a regular misc category. Given its very specific rule-set and the fact that it never got very popular, I believe it is best placed in the Category Extensions.

Watching the Any% Standard and the Glitchless Standard categories, I realize they are basically identical. In the current route, (from what I can tell) there are no glitches to differentiate between them. In fact, the HDD world record holder just ran them both as Any% and submitted an Any% run to the glitchless category.
So I propose that we should merge the Glitchless category to the Any% category. Only the Any% Very Hard run does use a glitch (XP glitch), so it should remain separated. If someday significant glitches are found and used in the run, we can split the categories again. What do you guys think?
With PS5 released, the rankings now support it as a platform. For now, runs made on PS5 can be included in the SSD category. If significant differences are found, we can discuss possible changes.

Essa realmente é uma ideia interessante e ela já foi sugerida algumas vezes antes. Eu compartilho a preocupação do plxq, de que ninguém vai realmente correr uma categoria dessas. Se houver interesse real em criar e correr uma speedrun da trilogia, podemos considerar.
O cronômetro só é necessário se a run foi feita em livestream (transmitida ao vivo). Para runs gravadas não é necessário.

A categoria PS Vita foi criada para o GoW1 e GoW2. Eu olhei uns gameplays e parece que dá para diferenciar essa versão das outras pelos comandos na tela, para abrir baús por exemplo, então não haverá nenhuma regra específica para essa versão (como mostrar o menu do PS Vita).
The PS Vita category was created for GoW1 and GoW2. I saw some gameplay footage and it looks to be possible to differentiate this version from the others by the commands on screen, like when opening chests. So there will be no specific rule to this category (like showing the PS Vita menu).
Já tem a categoria Magicless para isso.
