Late intro, but I am really looking forward to speedrun some of my favourite racing/driving games such as the NFS Franchise and the infamous Driver San Francisco.

I come from Malaysia, a small country in South East Asia but currently I am in Germany pursuing my studies here. Seems like Malaysia isn't that keen in speedrunning as their hobby, so lemme represent Malaysia :3

Quick question : With mid-end gaming rig, is World Record impossible? I will share the specs if needed xd

So, again, hello community!

World record is never impossible, unless your game experiences significant slowdown instead of frame drops or the game has a noticeable amount of loading times which takes you longer than the world record holder. In most cases though if you are interested in running a racing game, you should be able to contact the mods for your preferred game. Most mods are friendly and usually there's a "time without loads" category or the mods could offer some advice or even make changes to the rules of the game to make it more fair for everyone.

Hey thanks for your input. Yes indeed, I just watched a full run of the current WR holder of my game and they have a lot quicker loading times. not to mention i get many frame drops in my run. how bad does the stuttering affects my time?

Estonia

How badly does stuttering affect your times? I mean, you don't really need me to tell you that. You can compare your runs to other people yourself. My advice would be not to even aim for the WR but instead aim to beat your own personal best each time. If you find yourself only going for the WR then it can get frustrating and you may find yourself not enjoying the game as much as you used to.

Speedrunning in my opinion should first of all be a fun experience primarily and everything else that may follow is just secondary.
