Help with Setup.

I’ve been wanting to speedrun for a long time.

My main console I’ll be using is a Xbox series X.

However in terms of capturing the runs and posting them I only have a laptop. Which I’d be using for splits, but my question is, if I record and save my Speedruns on twitch, how will people know the actual length of the run if I can’t get the split timer from my laptop onto the screen. Obviously I’d be able to see the time on the laptop but that wouldn’t show on twitch I’m assuming.

If this is a stupid question I apologise, I’m just BRAND new to this whole thing.

Thanks in advance :)

You don’t NEED a timer on a video. And you already know what the time is because of a timer from your laptop. So just post the run with the time and the moderator will probably verify your run.

Moderators retime runs with frame counters, so there's no need to have a timer present on screen.
