Hi, I submitted a run to http://www.speedrun.com/Fairy_Bloom_Freesia over a month ago, I tried contacting the moderator a week after submitting the run via twitter but he never answered and has been inactive both here and on his twitch account for at-least two month.

Edit: Nevermind my run just got approved.

Hello, i need to be added as a Super Mod for Vice: Project Doom leaderboard. That leaderboard is pretty messed up and i don't think any of the mods is still active. http://www.speedrun.com/Vice_Project_Doom Tnx!!

Hey, could you add me as a Super mod for the game Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine: http://www.speedrun.com/indy3d

Reason: I actually did play this game a few years back and found some glitches and strats, so I have some knowledge about it. Also now another person appeared who is interested in the game and found some stuff and I did a run now for some level, so it is time to refresh that section. :)

Hey guys sup? My name is Panicorept , i am a portuguese guy who was a competitive fighter on my old days, i joined this website because i tought it could be fun to play some retro games, do some gaming videos etc! i joined 1 week ago and i allready had countless problems! There is a new moderator on Street Fighter Series, hocinehocine, who keeps canceling clean and valid runs from people so he can be on first spot, recently on Alpha 2 and Alpha 3 this guy beats the record using easy mode and high damage!!!! and in the rules its written he has to play with default settings! since he is a moderator he does whatever he wants! he rejected 17 valid runs i did and made me redo videos on my youtube channel because of his crazy statements he even asked me on youtube private messages to let him have the records and stop playing Street Fighter and go play other game so he could have them all! i have proofs of everything i say! is this normal? Can someone at least check my videos and see that i am using the good versions of the game? This guy is moderator and doesnt even respect the rules just to break records! and if you do the same as he does, he rejects your run, so whats the point and justice for that? I rather not waste my time then, then playing agaisnt a person who does everything possible just to cheat the fucking times to be 1st spot man and plus he is your moderator, he should be the first giving the example! can someone do something about this? i am really close to quit and i am here for 1 week only because with people like this, and even worse with power to do whatever they want its fucked up to play around here honestly, i am looking for a clean challenge not this bullshit and waste of my time! Stay cool and hope someone can help! otherelse i am quitting this website for good because there is no point playing like this around here. cheers

Spamming in caps is a good way to get people to listen to you. But I'd suggest trying to get into contact with the Super Mods for the game and talking with them about it.

The mod for the Twisted Metal series seems to have been offline for a year at least and there's some pending runs that need to be judged.

@racingmonster

"Also like to add, you been on the site for 2 years... you should be aware of the process by this point."

Simply having an account on the site doesn't necessarily ensure that a user has been active or attentive. I'd be willing to bet that a majority of users on this site don't check the forums regularly.

^ keep calm and don´t panic. That guy who trolls you might have just a laugh at ya, you know. ;)

@Racingmonster: I actually just read the topic name and assumed I should ask here, since I never asked for mod before, but OK it is cleared up for me. About no level runs connected to me, well the IL leaderboard kinda disappeared, but i remember there being one when i first posted in the forums of that game (it was empty though).

Don´t think so, i just looked up their profiles, one guy got mod two months ago by saying no one verified his run which he submitted, yet there is still not a single run on the leaderbords with him as mod... lol. Also might be one guy with two accounts, both have same video on their youtube channels.

YW1: Generally speaking, 21 days of not logging onto the site or potentially 21 days of not verifying a run, or something like that. Not every situation can work exactly the same, life is subjective.

Token: Since I can actually see audit logs now: The user hasn't really done anything with that board, and the board seems active enough, so this change is fine in my opinion.

therealbmanbeast: 3 weeks inactivity is the guideline.

AntoninZeKing: In most cases I'd look for a pending run, but this case seems fine.

TransparentBlue: Post was edited to say the run was approved, no response needed seemingly.

Racingmonster: I've never heard of a 21+ video game lol. I deleted it since it was made empty.

Garadas: I don't see anything wrong with the board except not having a game image and a couple runs without versions specified. In my opinion, that's not all that bad in comparison to some boards. Still seems pretty functional.

Molotok: In general I'd suggest getting a run up and talking to the current moderators. If you have level runs, it would help your argument to post them here rather than just saying you have them.

PANICOREPT: Seems like bad communication of the rules, or perhaps bad rules. I can't tell which is the problem. I messaged one of the super mods on Twitch, or maybe he'll see your post. There is some merit to everyone playing with specific settings, as for what the most standard settings are, I personally wouldn't know.

CriscoWild: Way inactive, ok.

Racingmonster: By the way, I have no idea what happened to the series you mentioned in the game request form. I don't recall touching anything. I find it hard to believe that you of all people could have left it idle for 2 weeks, so not sure.

Hello, i would like to apply to be a series mod for the game "Mirrors Edge." I may not have any runs (YET.) but i am very knowledgeable in knowing if a run is legit or not (Such as if its a TAS or if its using tools for the wrong runs, such as All Extra Bindings, Chapter Skips, etc.) and i am also very active, and will give call outs if i wont be active. If you could respond to my request, i would very much appreciate it. Thank you for your time. -Whoisthiskid?

@WhoIsThisKid ask the ME mods first. There are enough active mods and if they want help they can add you. This is a last resort thread.

Hey, I see I've been made moderator of Twisted Metal 2. It kind of also looks like I'm moderator of the series in general. Moderating anything is new to me so I'd like to get some feedback on how to do it correctly. I definitely see some room for improvement on those boards; I'd like to clear up rules, add or change categories, add games, etc. I need to know what I'm capable of doing, what I'm allowed to do, if I need to talk with anyone before making changes, etc. I'll definitely be the moderator if you all want me to, just help me be good at it.

Here is what i get from being a moderator.

  1. Verify Runs: By that i mean speed runs need to be verified to make sure they don't get taken down and to make sure its a approved run. this is based off of the series rules AND the general site rules.

  2. Guidelines: If your unactive for more than 1 month to 3 months, with no warning, they might be demoted if the community around the game series requests it enough. Another guideline is to not be a dipshit in general, like unauthorized take downs of runs that have not been verified.

  3. Hiring Mods: This is generally flexible, this thread is meant for discussions about mod and as a last resort if the mods dont reply to requests on the game series threads. Generally, if you ask and if they approve, than its usually general judgement by how you act, and by how you do your job.

Hope This Helps.

@WhoIsThisKid - This is still the last resort thread. The game has 3 mods that have been active today, another that has been active in the past 3 weeks. You need to go through them (Ovendonkey and Floubz being the Super Mods who can add you) - You are not going to be able to shoehorn your way into the game through this thread unless there are exceptional reasons to do so, none of which you have put forward.

Again, please go to the Mirror's Edge forums and put yourself forwards there, why you should be a mod etc.

@CriscoWild - Since you are the sole moderator of the Twisted Metal games you have full control of them. Any planned changes should go through the community, if there is one. I can only comment on changes that can be made to boards as I'm not a series mod so I have no experience with them.

Down the left side of the game boards you now have two new buttons, "Edit Game" and "Edit Theme" - "Edit Theme" lets you change the general look of the board, colours, backgrounds, favicons (The icon at the top of the page tab,) and the 1st-4th place icons if you wish.

The "Edit Game" allows you to change just about anything about the game - Name, page URL, Platforms, Categories and rules. This is also where you add mods if you need to - Note that the only difference between Mod and Super Mod is the ability to add more mods, or remove Mods. (Super Mods can't remove Super Mods) For the Page URL you can shorten it as you like, the url is currently /Twisted_Metal however if you so wished you could shorten it to /TM and /TM2

The categories section should hopefully be self explanatory to build upon, if you need help with any of it however you can contact me on Discord or Steam and I'll help you the best I can. [My links are over on the left side]
