Same here, my most recent run was verified at around 4:00 AM PST, and I just got the notification for it 20 minutes ago.
@1 Just curious, how come you didn't submit the fastest time for each IL first before sending all the other runs? And if that's not possible, why not a placeholder 1 ms run at the very top. This would mean only one notification gets sent per IL instead of thousands.
wow you lobotomized SRC for the memes and don't seem to display an ounce of remorse for it
wow you lobotomized SRC for the memes and don't seem to display an ounce of remorse for it

@1 So you intentionally spammed people's notifications and killed the site's performance in the process as a joke.
While yes I did the runs in reverse order intentially for the memes, it was never my intention to tank the sites performance. I assumed that a site of 800K users and 2 Million runs could handle a glorified auto hotkey script that submits 10K runs over the course of 24 hours.
Actually, after making my posts here I did some thinking and am doubting whether or not this is my fault as opposed to a bad coincidence. My script had been running for a day and a half with little to no site issues. It was only afterwards that the site when to absolute shit. I then ran the bot for another hour or so and the site proceeded to be half dead for another 14 hours.
(Part 2 because of the new 1000 character limit)
As for not being remorseful I do not really feel bad for maybe being responsible (I very well could be, but I am growing doubtful) for the site not handling what should not really be a very big work load when the sites API that would have allowed me to have been done with my project ages ago has been broken for years with no care from anyone to fix it.
I mean, mce is not an active game at all. There are thousands of people who follow minecraft java edition though. If I were to turn on notifications for everything there, I could probably get hunderds, maybe even thousands of notifications per day. The site needs to be able to handle all of that. However, it probably was not caused by the notifications at all. The last time the site was running like this was when elo was about to release a major update, so that might be the cause.
i sincerely hope you get unmodded
Unlike a good amount of moderators on the site, he actually moderates his games decently.
Sure, everyone does a slip up, but as the website still tanks really badly, I am sure at this point, that there is something else. Also nice first forum post. I hope you enjoy your stay on the forums :)
(It is quite interesting how the BFBB gang here did not post anything at all before interacting in here or at least not for years)
In any case, being toxic about it wont fix the sites performance. Who know, maybe the webserver actually just needs to be restarted. As long as Elo does not clarify what is causing this issue (they acknowledged it here: https://www.speedrun.com/the_site/thread/3t3qo/ ), piling up on someone who may have caused this, is just dumb and we should do better.
