How Should I Record/Video Proof Runs?

I recently started speedrunning and i have no runs because i don't know how i would Record/Show video proof it.What i need is ideas for PC or WiiU. Sure atleast 1 person will help!

OBS Studio can record PC games for you quite easily and it's free. WiiU requires some form of capture, which for HDMI is a bit of an investment.

^ OBS or XSplit, the best programs to record PC

For Wii U, you either need a capture card (Elgato and Avermedia are the best) or a camera/webcam/phone to record your TV while playing, it's enough for speedruns!
