Usually 1-2 weeks for a game or series to be verified, but there were some issues with the system they were using for it so you'll have to be patient.

I'm currently the only runner of this game, and I've been trying to get my run verified for over a week now, with very spotty response (couple days between each message) from the mod. After some back and forth over several days it seems like they rejected my run because I run on a platform that's not listed on the game's page (ps3 virtual/"ps2 classics" edition - with the original version being a ps2 game).

Rather than add that platform for runs to be able to be submitted under, they decided to add a brand new category for "ps3 version of one of the already existing 6 categories" specifically for my run, which is completely unnecessary, as the runs are the same across versions. He cited the ps3 version being faster as the reason, but this doesn't really make sense, as the precedent has already been set by basically every other speedgame that simply having a faster console version does not warrant the creation of a separate category. It's just kinda wack leaderboard management.

I asked about resolving this issue and being made a mod myself since I'm the only runner, but I haven't gotten a response for a couple days now. There's also a language barrier between us, which makes things even more difficult/complicated, so I'm not really sure what to do about the situation overall. I'd like to be able to get my run up there and try and start getting other folks involved in the game and such, but I feel like since the leaderboards are all messed up and whatnot and the only mod is fairly inactive/disinterested seeming it's all just kinda on hold and it's a drag.

What is to be done?

@SailorMercury I think a new variable for different plattforms for the game is justified, but not really a new category. Since he isnt offline for >3 weeks and somewhat communicates with you the best way is to try to talk to him about the categorys and making you mod, even if it takes some days between the answers. If he doesnt reply for a very long time, or doesnt change the leaderboard to a better solution you can write here again. Right know i dont think that you will be added as mod, since this is a last resort thread and there still seems a solution possible in your case, also you dont have any way to contact you linked to your profile, which is always bad when you want to be a mod.

Isn't it time for this to be grouped into a series? I don't want to be the mod for it, but I'd suggest having f1 as the series mod.

I have seen players request new categories and they have not been added, so I would like to add new categories and verify runs for them. Thanks :)

snes_fanatic, you can't just use this thread to get mod because "you want to moderate hacks".

This is a last resort thread for when you need a run verified or something to be done with a game and you can't contact any of the mods because they've been MIA for 3+ weeks. That game has a single run so it's more than likely that the moderator isn't in need of any assistance on the game. If you have a run pending for the game, you can contact them on their social media links to get it resolved.

If you're so inclined, you can also reach out to the moderator and ask them to give you mod, but it's unlikely they'll add you unless there is a huge need for it.

Could CornfordCaster be removed from the games he moderates? He hasn't been on in an awfully long time or have any runs. I don't have anything against him, I know he wants to run one someday, I'm just cleaning up the Command & Conquer series.

Hello, so i posted my Game Dev Tycoon run 2 days ago and there are 3 moderators in the game.

2 normal mods seems to be inactive. One is 1 month and the other guy is 3 months inactive.

So it comes to the last mod and he is a super mod. Zen_Aku95.

He seems kinda like an active guy but i can't get contacted with him..

I tweeted him 2-3 times and got no response so i tried to add him from steam. He blocked me.. I see no reason to block me on steam. Soo ?

I would be happy to be super mod on Game Dev Tycoon. Thank you.

EDIT : So i am mistaken. There are 2 SUPER mods and one of them is 1, other is 6 months inactive and Zen_Aku95 is normal mod.

Two days isn't very long, give it some more time, you could just be annoying him messaging him that much over the span of a few days because of verification

1. Just because you put a lot of time into the game doesn't mean you should be a mod.
2. GreenUprooter didn't say they didn't like it, they said there are flaws in your idea, which is true.
3. Having 2 mods that disagree with each other is a bad concoction for a leaderboard, and is where a lot of the "speedrun drama" comes from.
4. All three mods have been on in the last 2 weeks. Ongnissim was on 9 days ago, and the other two mods have been on in the last 2 hours. Just because you haven't 'seen' them around the board, doesn't meant they're not there.
5. First part debunked in #4, second part is debunked in one of Green's replies on the board, stating that your run would no longer be in real-time but in in-game time.

Emulators have their problems, and they always will.

If it's a new record with or without your timing method, why not resubmit it without your timing. That way if there's a problem with it not being verified you have a legitimate reason to come here with concerns.
