I'm looking forward to seeing an All Cars and Engines Unlocked Speedrun of Ridge Racer V.

It's basically a true 100% Unlock Everything Speedrun.

It would require all of the following:

1. Winning each Grand Prix with all 6 main cars to unlock all 6 Standard Engines, all 6 Extra Engines, and all 6 Oval Engines for all 6 main cars. Maximum GP is optional and you can play on any difficulty setting.

2. Winning each of the Time Trial times that have an R next to them to unlock Duel Mode.

3. Winning all of the Duel Mode cars by racing against them in Duel Mode.

4. Accumulating 1500 miles to unlock the Pac-Man vehicle. These miles can be accumulated via Grand Prix or 99 Trial or Time Attack or Duel Mode or Free Run, or any combination of them.

5. Racing in a Pac-Man race against the 4 ghost scooters and winning against them to unlock the 4 ghost scooters.

I'm not sure if I've missed any, but I think I listed the gist of it.

Also I'm not sure if you win a car or not, for coming in 1st place in the 99 Trial, but I don't want to spoil what you do get for winning the 99 Trial.

With the load times of the game and the length of each race, doing a 100% run of this game would take an obnoxiously long time. Probably longer than runs like 180 emblems in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, a run that lasts about 9-10 hours, especially if we were to include 99 lap trial and grinding the laps to unlock Pac-Man. No one would be able to complete this run in one sitting.

I just put up a 1:33'15"071 on 99Trial HARD

That is a MAX% run which is probably long as if not longer than running GTA 5 or San Andreas in one go. A better category would be a RANK1% category which has you do:

All GP (estimate 1hr: 45mins casually)

All Rival Time trial (Estimate 20 minutes, 4 time attacks)

All Duels (estimate 20 minutes, 4 races )

Battle Royal (1 Duel class machine Race, estimate 5 minutes , outer pass)

99 trial (1hr:45m hours casual)

Total :4 hours 20 minutes estimate.

These things will get you to Rank 1 which is True completion in this game and the actual career mode goal. This is achievable on any difficulty so the category can be split between each difficulty and console and emulator.

These estimates are for normal difficulty and factor in loading and normal playthrough menuing (so no optimal cutscnee skipping and navigation) between each step but I play on Emulator so I have no idea how long/ bad loading is on console (the game is on a CD iirc so I can only imagine its very slow) .

i am also estimating things as if playing casually/ at average pace VS going off speedrun pace so the category should actually be waay faster than the estimate.
