Hardware separation

I also had no idea the console dropdown menu was there before posting this thread tbh, but that's my fault B)

I understand why RE people do their hardware segregation thing but it saddens me to see competition for those games split between tons of platforms and I would hate for that to happen to Silent Hill so nah fuck that.

Especially since I can't think of a game in this series for which it is a relevant concern. Hardware differences are flat-out irrelevant for SH1 (I've diddled with the PSN version and I'm pretty sure it makes absolutely no difference because IGT doesn't count PSN's admittedly pretty shit load times) and do people even run SH2/3 on the PS2/HD Collection?

sh4 could actually probably do with some testing in this regard now since the top 3 times are all on different platforms and I have no idea about that game.

Outside of the original 4 there is more differences in Hardware. 360/PS3/PC load times for homecoming change a lot and you even save another minute or so by installing to hardrive on 360. Origins I also believe has large differences between PS2 and PSP.

Other than that you have PC and PS2 differences for SH2 and PC vs Console differences for SH3(although only due to QS QL) However because the PC versions are easy to obtain this usually doesn't cause much of a problem since it's easy to obtain the fastest version.
