How to catch a Splice?

After reading about splicers that recently got caught, I decided to do a splice "audit" of the game I'm moderating.

I have all the tools I need:

  • A control video (my crappy run)
  • Audacity (for spectrogramming)
  • A YouTube to audio converter (supports many audio types, which one do I use?)

I'm a complete noob when it comes to finding splices. Can anyone give me some advice?

You also need a video editing tool, audio isn't the only place you can find splices. And i don't think its worth it to check every run submitted, just do it when a run looks like it couldve been cheated/spliced.
