Hey everyone. I just got an snes classic and there are a few games on it I’m interested in learning the speedruns for, specifically smw, LTTP, and megaman x. Is this even a viable platform and which game would be the best to learn as a first speedrun? I know that there are slight differences in timing between a snes classic and real hardware and cart, I just wasn’t sure if it would even be allowed to potentially post runs from it or enter races using it

The platform is allowed. It’s comparable (maybe even better in terms of input delay) than an emulator on a computer, but it can’t match up with real hardware. If you’re just starting out though, it’ll work just fine.

Eventually I want an snes and carts, but my thought process was that it’s just like running on an emulator. Thanks!
