SNES classic approved for Super Metroid?

Just wondering if I can use it for any%....I do have a SNES and SM cart but it just looks so much better via digital video signal. Input lag is minimal which is nice. FYI the hacked ones will run randomized roms and the basic romhacks

I don’t see why you couldn’t use it, but you can ask this in the game’s forum or to the mods directly for a definitive answer.

For what it’s worth, if the NES classic is any indication, the SNES classic versions of games will run slower than their original counterparts so I’d stick to the original hardware if I were you.

afaik it's possible to modify consoles like snes to have hdmi output, so if you're really desperate for that better quality you could look into that.

Thanks, I've basically figured as much. I was told that over HDMI there's no way to avoid lag so ezcap it is

Yeah, HDMI modding older consoles will pretty much always result in varying amounts of input lag.

If you want the best quality from your SNES, it can natively output RGB without any modifications. That’ll get you great quality assuming you have a decent RGB capture card and a decent RGB cable/splitter. Worth considering down the road (decent equipment is pricey) if top quality matters to you.

The leaderboard page lists SNES Classic as an available platform. Why didn't you just look there?
