I'm considering doing runs for each of the worlds, but I'd like some clarification on the rules. For World 1, the start is given as "Time starts upon clicking 1-1 on the main menu", but for World 2 & World 3, the rule is "Time starts upon clicking Play on the main menu".
Is the different start time for World 1 vs Worlds 2-3 intentional, and if so, why?
I have a follow up suggestion relevant to this thread. Would it be possible to add an alternate start time method for World 2 & World 3 for people who've done full game runs? Specifically, give the option to add a set penalty to the initial time from the first frame where 2-1 (or 3-1) loads. The penalty would be however long it normally takes for the screen to transition from the time the level is selected in the level select screen, so as to equalize the two different timing/starting methods.
I think those two worlds might get more submissions if people could add them as a byproduct of their full game runs, rather than having to do them separately. Right now, it's possible to do this for World 1, since you have to click 1-1 for the full game run, so anyone who runs the game can add a World 1 time if they wish.
I figure since I'm the only one who's run those categories, it's fair for me to suggest adding this option, as no one else would be adversely affected. Unless someone out there is holding back a run they mean to submit later...
