So, I really would like to speedrun my favorite type of games, but I don't know if they are allowed. The type I talk about are Hidden Object Adventure. With the biggest titles at this moments being Mysterie case files, Labyrinths of the world and Haunted Hotel. The story is always pretty straight and the run itself is more about knowing where things are than cutting corners. Does someone know if these games are allowed here?

Thanx, that clear some of the grey area. But it still doesn't completly answered my question. Since these type of games aren't very know I don't know if they are accepted. For starters the rule 'The gameplay should show some potential for optimization through speedrunning.' I don't know if the games I like to play have it or not.

Potential for optimization may be limited with hidden object games since the route usually doesn't change once the best order to click locations is found. That said, the only way to know what'll happen is if you submit your games.

All kinds of Point 'n Click adventures are on the site, so I don't see why the Hidden Object adventures shouldn't be allowed. In the sense of a speedrun they should be basically the same.
