my brother and I have spent the last 2 months routing a 2 person prophecies any% all missions speed run. we were hoping to get our category added as we have just completed our first run in full. though we will not be submitting this run, we now realize we can complete the run and will be trying to improve our time. A bunch of our twitch viewers have expressed interest in both watching and running this category.

we based most of our rules off of the pre-existing ones for the any% category though there are a few changes that we felt suited the co-op category better. these are the rules of the run:

TIMING: -Timing is done is done in real time due to in-game being unreliable. -Timing starts after selecting 'Create' on the create a character menu. -Timing ends when the final cutscene (Hell's Precipice mission) starts. -The timer must not be paused at any stage. -The /age function MUST be performed after a run has been completed to ensure that it is lower than real time and increase validity.

GAMEPLAY: -All prophecies missions must be completed. (bonus objectives are not required) -Essentially the game is to be played as if it was the first character created on your account. This is the fundamental rule that must be adhered to. Major game rules include (but are likely not limited to): -Skills may only be purchased from the skill trainers they are originally purchased from. -After the run has been completed, your character's unlocked skills must be displayed. -Access to storage is prohibited. The Xunlai Agent must be spoken to after the run has been completed to verify it has not been accessed. -Runs must be completed in a single-segment. -Runs must be completed without any help from other players (excluding your running mate)

  • You may exchange items with your running mate by dropping items on the ground in missions and explorable areas. (you may not open a trade window) -Hard mode must be disabled. -Use of tomes is prohibited -Access to other campaigns is prohibited. -Any special event items/interactions are also prohibited (this includes things like bonus exp/faction weekends). -Glitches/bugs/skips/clips are allowed -No third party programs allowed, ie. programmable macros, texmod, toolbox etc. -Use of mercenary heroes are forbidden -Allegiance skills are not to be used during runs -No use of /bonus items -The two runners must remain the same throughout the run

also wondering if accessing GTOB is allowed during a run. one of the guys that was theory crafting with us was curious.

You seem to have given this some good and fair thought. I am happy to make this a category provided I can get some clarification of a few things. Firstly, is your running partner also starting a new game or is it a pre-prepared character? Provided both/all players are making new characters this run fits this kind of leaderboard just fine. All players involved must also have a video record for the run to be approved for the leaderboards.

Provided all players are new characters, I am a little puzzled as to why /bonus should need to be disabled provided non- prophecies game of the year edition items are not used/tossed.

I am also curious as to what you'd need to access GTOB for during a run, but I can't think of a good reason it shouldn't be allowed. For my own interest, how long did it take you guys to do all missions :P
