Everything else works but the B button on my controller and I use it for the run/cancel button which is also B on the SNES controller. I suppose I will change it with another button, but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this. I tried to contact the active mods of the game on Twitter but they have not responded so far.

I mean, if your controller isn’t working what more can anyone do? Have you tried a different controller?

If your button is working normally with other games then check the mappings in your emu to make sure the B button is mapped like you expect it to be.
