PS2 vs. Emulator and the 30:07 Runs

Hey all,

So after taking a look at the newest world record for PTR2, I've noticed some issues with both the run and the game in general. Firstly, the time is incorrect, it states thirty-minutes and seven seconds, despite the video showing thirty-"one" minutes and seven seconds. This accounted for most of the large time save. However, more importantly there seems to be serious loading difference times between console runs and emulated runs. After looking back and comparing runs, it seems that consoles load stages in around seven scratches, whilst emulators load in about five (ex. Beard Burger Master stage). This accounts for around a ~ten second difference between runs (if no mistakes are made). I'm not really sure how to fix this, as I think banning emulators stops a lot of people from enjoying this game. Maybe we should put them into different categories or subsections.

Thanks, Kirb

I tried to sort the difference from Emulator runs and Console runs, but Speedrun.com didn't update correctly. I'll work on it more and see if I can get it to work!

What I did was to disable fast cd mode on PCSX2 and the loading times are similar to the PS2. I also found out that turning on the other speedhacks dont change loading time at all and just change the smoothness of the gameplay.
