Using PS4/Twitch to SpeedRun for Dot Hack//G.U

So I'm new to SpeedRunning, and specifically want to do it with Dot hack (the new PS4 remaster). I have a twitch account connected to my PS4, and can set it up to my YouTube if needed.

I tried looking for solid answers before posting, but I guess I'm worried to do anything before I start. In the Rules for the PS4 Any%, it states to have a timer with the game.

Since I have no capture card or what have you, all I have are the above mentioned platform. Would this be enough for proof for when I do the game? I realize there's always a possibility of cheating for some runs, but I guess I want to make sure that I can do everything correct with the resources available.

(TL;DR) Would like to use twitch/youtube for evidence of speedrunning of a game, is this possible?

Normally, mods can't reject your run just because there is no timer on the screen. A recorded footage is enough.

You can take the VOD of the run and play it back in OBS/XSplit. That way you can overlay a timer onto the screen.

However for longer runs this is extra obnoxious to do and it’s annoying in general to do for every run.

Asking this in the .hack//GU forum is best - Hachrt and Finzenku are quite responsive. You can always use PS4 Remote Play to stream to your PC instead of a Capture Card (I do this with my runs) and have LiveSplit there - it works best with ethernet connections from your PS4 and your PC and the input lag is barely there.

We also have extensive notes and tools to help runners of GU.

Thanks for the assistance everyone! OBS sorta saves my skin with the submissions, now that I sorta know what I'm doing. But thank you for the ideas and I'll be sure to look into all of them!!

Great community all around! <3
