Hello peoples.
My name is Conal. I've been playing many Genesis, SNES & N64 games from a very young age.
I'd like to know more about the tools that live speedrunners use to time themselves, so I can make an attempt at leaving a record.
Usually I play with a DualShock 3 disguised as an X360 controller in Xinput (with Force-Feedback enabled), a GTX 980 Ti & Acer 27" Predator XB271HK, plus some side monitors and a HDR TV for extra distractions.
If anyone could help me get started with the process of recording a live run and submitting it, I would much appreciate it.

Hello Con! :) We use many tools but perhaps the most commonly used are timers. Which are basically, as the name implies, a timer... Seriously. Although this isn't needed, it's used in just about every record you can see. For various different reasons. If you'd like help with that, just contact me on discord. I'd even be willing to help with recording a run if you don't know how to already. Cheers and welcome!
