Recently a group of Snooders have been pushing the game further than what was believed to be possible. Winkmarket, [GenG] IWannaPunchU, TopHatMatt, HopelessSituation, Glysah, Leecie and winger have fortuitously found a way through registration and through the use of Game Index Indicators (GII, for short) on the Windows version to replay the exact same board over and over again. This allows an extremely optimized run of any particularly good Snood board. In one night, I have managed to go from playing my first game of Snood to nearly halving the World Record for the child mode category. Essentially, the implication of GII takes away all elements of RNG for future runners and relies on them scouring through the 99,999 possible boards for good enough Snood grouping to optimize. I have chosen to consult you prior to uploading the vod of a 5.61 second child mode run because of the method that we are using. While it is not stated in the rules, using the new GII method could seemingly revolutionize the existing category. For the greater good of Snood, we recommend that a separate category called "GII%" to be made in order to keep the integrity in the game. Thank you so much for your time, -The Snood Science Committee

I'm down, but since I'm going to have to layout the ruleset, I want to be able to understand how exactly it works. Does it basically involve altering the files of the game, and how does registration play into it?

Outside that, a subcat seems appropriate enough to me. Very glad there is a lot of interest growing around the game. Looking forward to someone doing all 50 Puzzle levels. ;]

When you register the game on Version 4.10 you can click "Game" and then "Use a Game Number" to essentially practice any board you desire. In doing so, I can play the WR board used in Mercyn's Child run to bring his 10 second time all the way down to 4 seconds. This is GII. The category we have now is fine as is, because this assumes you are using an unregistered version of the game that will give you random boards each time you click "Start a New Game."

There is much, much more to talk about if we wanted to truly iron everything out, but this would be a great place to start.

Appreciate it. Yeah, I'll get on making a subcat. Sorry for delays, I work taxes, so busy time. I'll have it up and ready to go tomorrow.

Oh no rush at all! I'm still playing the game as y'all did a year ago. Thanks for your work.

I've added the GII subcategory.

There is still some cleaning up and some research I'll need to do for the board. E.G., I'll need to manually go in and set subcats go the correct category. As of now, I'm assuming GII isn't a thing as far as the Puzzle mode goes, but does apply to all other categories. That will take some work to set up, but I'll get to it for sure at some point.

My biggest concern is about noting rules regarding the use of GII or not using GII on registered versions of the game. Ergo, if someone has a registered version of the game, how do I know that the board is randomly selected or not? I'll have to familiarize myself with as many versions of the game both registered and non-registered. This will naturally take some time. But the subcats are up for the time being.
